     Salt Lake County has approximately 350 square miles that are occupied. Utah Mapping has completed 82 of them. There are 59 square miles being completed with 3 new cities in process: South Salt Lake City, Murray City, and Midvale. Every address and street name in our maps have been physically verified. Business names and phone numbers have been added where space permits. Shown below are samples of several pages of each map book.

   Each page edge has been sealed with 3 mil lamination and heat fused. The map book is coil bound for easy use and trouble-free page turning. Some parcel boundary lines may have been altered to accommodate information and/or for cosmetic appearance. Each map should not be considered an accurate source of measurement.

    The back page of each map book will show you the entire county of Salt Lake will all of its square miles. Each square mile is numbered for easy reference. The county square mile reference map will allow you to view where square miles are located so that you may know which area map you would like to view or purchase.

  Dry erase or wet erase markers may be used for adding notes, marking locations or paths of travel. However is recommended that wet erase markers be used so that as you flip through the pages none of the data you’ve added will be unintentionally erased.

  Utah Mapping re-verifies each square mile map every six months when each square mile is driven through checking for changes and new construction. House and building addresses never change, however business names and phone numbers change occasionally. We phone each business number on each square mile to re-verify that the business has remained the same or to replace it with the new business information.
